Wordless Wednesday 17 August

On Monday, a freezing cold day here in Auckland it offically snowed for the first time since 1939.  While the snow at our place did not last here is the best photo showing what we got.  I know that this is not very plentiful but since it was somewhat of a momentous moment here I thought it was worth a show.

Snow is always exciting when you don't get it regularly. We live along the coast, so we don't see snow at our house. However, we just have to look out the kitchen window and we can see it on top of the mountains.

I saw that in the news!!
Snow in Auckland is INSANE!
I grew up in Stanmore Bay, and my mum now lives in Te Anau (where they have had LOTS of snow)
Brrr!!!

I live in Australia now (Qld) so no snow heh

Wow, first snow since 1939. Thats pretty cool.

I can never imagine living anywhere that has snow in winter. I was actually sweating this morning out in the sun. What I would give for a proper winter!

Thats so exciting that you got snow! We live on the coast as well, so no chance of waking up to snow!

A long time to wait though. I haven't seen the snow in 13 yrs.
