Wordless Wednesday 11 April

With the school holidays here and the feeling that summer has truely arrived, and yet it is autumn, here is a little of what we did yesterday.

A stop at Takapuna Beach, Auckland, and in the background is the iconic Rangitoto Island which is a volcano vent.  Life is good out there when the weather is lovely and sunny.

Oh, that lovely beach was the first one I ever visited with distant relatives in Auckland many years ago. And the piccy of the island is great, have never been there, hopefully next time. Have a real soft spot for Auckland, we nearly emigrated there instead of Sydney.
