Wordless Wednesday 27 November

During the summer we participate in orienteering as a fimily.  Out where we live the club runs a very family orientated summer series which is why we give it a go.  McKenzie is not confidently reading the maps and way faster than me.  Andre just loves running along with her.  I am usually encouraging Hayden to run along with me.  If you live out my way then you need to check out the Counties Manukau Orienteering Club.

What clever cookies! I'm terrible with maps. So good they're learning this important skill together.

What a good thing to do as a family. I used to like orienteering in school, haven't dont it since then. Good to see siblings this age working together.

Great photo. I did orienteering when I was at school camp. Loved it. Will have to remember to do this with my kids when they get a bit older :)

I have always wanted to try orienteering - my kids are getting a little older now and can read quite well so maybe that's something we can do as a family in the next school holidays. Thanks for the tip Tamara!

That's great that they are working together. Even if he's just tagging along.
